Summary

Films and television shows aren’t just entertainment。 They are powerful vehicles that influence social and political trends, ultimately shaping the very fabric of our culture。 Because of this potential, there are various agencies which work behind the scenes in Hollywood to harness these forces for their own aims or those of their clients。

Few people outside the industry are aware that such agencies exist and are hired by advocacy groups to lobby studios, writers, and producers in order to get their ideas inserted into plots of popular works。

These Hollywood lobbyists have been instrumental in successfully paving the path for same-sex marriage to become legal, destigmatizing abortion, encouraging mass immigration, and sounding the alarm about climate change; all under the cloak of mere “entertainment。”

More recently we’ve seen these same powers levied against President Trump, his supporters, and used to demonize “white privilege” as an invisible enemy that’s supposedly around every corner。

Even sports and late-night comedy shows are employed for political causes, violating the once unwritten cardinal rules of their industries。 In this groundbreaking work, media analyst Mark Dice details the true power of entertainment and proves how it is being used to wage a psychological war against the world。

As always, Mark Dice tells it like it is, and provides many sources to back up what he says。

Hollywood has sunk into the mud bottom of the swamp。 “Hollywood Propaganda” exposes a litany of social engineering gone berserk。 It is hard to watch any show or movie without thinking how batshit crazy Hollywood has become。 The subtitle of this book should read – “abandon hope all ye who enter here。” It makes you wonder if there is any hope for future civilization。 Most sensible adults have given up on the mainstream media Hollywood style。 But when you hide your head in the sand you abdicate you Hollywood has sunk into the mud bottom of the swamp。 “Hollywood Propaganda” exposes a litany of social engineering gone berserk。 It is hard to watch any show or movie without thinking how batshit crazy Hollywood has become。 The subtitle of this book should read – “abandon hope all ye who enter here。” It makes you wonder if there is any hope for future civilization。 Most sensible adults have given up on the mainstream media Hollywood style。 But when you hide your head in the sand you abdicate your duty to stop the evil。 If you are in the group who have not yet given up the fight for decency and honor in entertainment, then you should read this book to arm yourself with knowledge。 Your grandchildren are depending on you。 。。。more

An excellent analysis of the way in which the media distorts our view of reality, therefore changing it。 By normalizing what is not normal, the media attempts to change normality itself and subvert the natural order of things (top down propaganda vs。 bottom up manifestations)。

Great book, really insightful。 It really makes you question the entertainment industry。

His best book yet!!!A really thorough and eye opening exploration of what Hollywood poisons our minds with on a daily basis。 Mark is a wonderful author and this is the fourth book of his that I have read, the other three being "The True Story of Fake News", "Liberalism: Find a Cure" and "The Liberal Media Industrial Complex"。 His best book yet!!!A really thorough and eye opening exploration of what Hollywood poisons our minds with on a daily basis。 Mark is a wonderful author and this is the fourth book of his that I have read, the other three being "The True Story of Fake News", "Liberalism: Find a Cure" and "The Liberal Media Industrial Complex"。 。。。more

This is a deeply partisan book but oh so needed。 Reads like a Steve Sailer blog post in long form。

Honest, with lots of documentation This book explains a lot of what is happening in culture right now and the impetus/ history behind it。 Extremely well documented, and packed with facts-I’m sure this will be banned soon。

Courageous and honestThis book makes you aware of what lies behind entertainment。 Things you should know, if you don't want to let someone else program your thoughts and opinions。 Things that are uncomfortable to say and to hear nowadays, and may become forbidden to say in the future。 Courageous and honestThis book makes you aware of what lies behind entertainment。 Things you should know, if you don't want to let someone else program your thoughts and opinions。 Things that are uncomfortable to say and to hear nowadays, and may become forbidden to say in the future。 。。。more

The book reveals a lot of the mechanisms behind all the stories the media promotes- in television sitcoms, movies, news, music。 It shows how the culture itself has changed due to the influence of the media and celebrities。 Values and morals have changed。 The only reason I docked 1 star is because I already knew most of this information, due to watching Mark Dice channel and due to my own studies of culture and history。 But yeah, it's a good informative book! 4。5/5The only reason this is not a 5 star rating is because it really felt like you were extremely harsh towards the LGBT related subject。 Before anybody gets offended, you should have a minimal capacity to be impartial here。 Make no mistake, I completely and strongly agree with the fact that the propaganda pushed by Hollywood (which is the main subject of the book) and by the most aggressive leftists is poisonous, but you know, at the end of the day there are also ordinary people who are not al 4。5/5The only reason this is not a 5 star rating is because it really felt like you were extremely harsh towards the LGBT related subject。 Before anybody gets offended, you should have a minimal capacity to be impartial here。 Make no mistake, I completely and strongly agree with the fact that the propaganda pushed by Hollywood (which is the main subject of the book) and by the most aggressive leftists is poisonous, but you know, at the end of the day there are also ordinary people who are not all extremists or crazy, and that's something you yourself fail to acknowledge due to your own bias on the issue。 Mentioning that you refuse to recognize same-sex "marriage" is alright (let's suppose), but don't forget that everybody in society contributes by paying taxes, and this should explain everything。Don't forget that there is a certain amount (although considerably small) of gays and lesbians that are republicans, if you ever dared imagine that and it's not me saying it。 Again, I highly doubt ordinary people are that crazy。 I think a minimum amount of recognition and acceptance should be offered to the segment that is decent and fair (not the degenerate parades); let alone the historical and cultural contributions of brilliant examples, but since the focus is now on Hollywood, that's fine。 Such arguments can be dismissed at this point。 This is what I don't like when both parties fail to keep things in balance。 I believe republicans should be more understanding (although not given many reasons to be so, especially nowadays), while liberals should stop the extremist agenda that's funneled into our brains, which makes the whole thing disgusting, to say the least。 Balance is key :)Other than that, an extremely well-documented book with plenty of examples and explanations。 I'll definitely check out the others as well。Thanks a lot for the myriad of movie references。 I've got plenty to watch now! :D 。。。more

Mark Dice's heart is in the right place。 The information is solid and nicely sourced。 The issue I have with this book is that I can not figure out who the audience is。 Why was the book written? He discusses the various Hollywood projects that have undermined basic American values。 In all fairness, lets look at the target audiences。 Right wing conservatives and old school liberals will pretty much understand that Hollywood has an agenda that is anathema to everything American。 They won't need to Mark Dice's heart is in the right place。 The information is solid and nicely sourced。 The issue I have with this book is that I can not figure out who the audience is。 Why was the book written? There were very few things I didn’t know already but it was very entertaining (I read it in one sitting) and because it was banned by Amazon overlords (so much for free speech, I don’t think anyone buys that crap about holyweird sign) I feel it deserve as many stars as it can get。 And as Naval says, read books they want to ban。 Also we have to counterbalance crackpots who rate it one star without reading it。

A Well Researched Insightful ReadBeen a fan of Mark Dices videos for a while and finally gave in to reading his books。 A very insightful read that has open my eyes to what Hollywood has been trying to shove down our throats。 What makes this book even more great is that footnotes have been left to the topics he discusses that way you can see for yourself and do your own research

Elizabeth Knight

Mark Dice did not disappoint。 Hollywood Propaganda is very well researched and he points out many events that have taken place over the last several years and has showed how it applies to the different topics included in the book。 For instance, I did not know Planned Parenthood has a media branch that lobbies Hollywood。

Mark Dice's videos are very entertaining, but they destill an overarching, serious message。 His books are in-depth analyses of societal phenomena, and as such they are very informative。 This book is no exception: it cites various examples of how the entertainment industry shapes our perceptions of the world, mainly through surreptitious but pervasive means。 As all of Dice's books, it is extremely well-sourced。 The only criticism I have is that I already knew a large portion of the aspects detail Mark Dice's videos are very entertaining, but they destill an overarching, serious message。 His books are in-depth analyses of societal phenomena, and as such they are very informative。 This book is no exception: it cites various examples of how the entertainment industry shapes our perceptions of the world, mainly through surreptitious but pervasive means。 As all of Dice's books, it is extremely well-sourced。 The only criticism I have is that I already knew a large portion of the aspects detailed in the book from his videos, but even so I learned many things and found very interesting facts。 Dice's writing style is very relatable and readable。 Great book! 。。。more
